Weekending + Pumpkin Patch

We ran down to San Diego this weekend to visit my Dad and step-mom since I volunteered to pass out pink ribbons at the Chargers game with my sorority on Sunday. I’ve done it a few times and it is always so fun. I love that our alumnae group is so active and supportive of our philanthropy, breast cancer awareness. You may have seen some of us on the pre-game show carrying out the pink ribbon.

We spent the rest of the weekend lounging at the pool #socalfall and made a quick trip to the pumpkin patch around the corner. We went pretty early in the morning to avoid the heat and the kids were thrilled with their pumpkin picks.

I would have loved to do the whole big pumpkin patch rodeo but wrangling three kids in 90 degree heat is just too much for this gal. We still have a whole lot of October left so we’ll see if we make it out to another farm.

Baby’s first pumpkin patch! She is crawling everywhere so of course loved rolling around in the hay like an animal.

My tiny tractor loving farmers. We’ve indoctrinated them into all things Iowa, we don’t want them growing up too LA for their own good. 😉

It’s family picture time! Best of 37. But seriously now.

Since it’s been SO warm here (seriously, 100 degrees…this weather can take a hike) we’ve been trying to rally for fall and Halloween with a little festive indoor decor and buying all the pumpkin things at Trader Joe’s.

I’m trying to pace myself before buying mums for the front porch as they’ll last about three days in this heat. In the meantime I’ll just keep pinning my little heart out with sweaters, pumpkins and plaid.
