Mama Must Haves {0-3 Months}

Holy cow! Our baby boy just turned 3 months old. They are not lying to you when they say time flies. He’s turned into such a little personality in the last few weeks. We can’t get enough of his baby squeals and how he chatters to himself all day. Also, the knee rolls. They kill me.

In honor of keeping our baby happy (and alive!) for 3 whole months I thought I would post some of our favorite things that got us through the fourth trimester!

MMH.0-3

City Mini Stroller: We LOVE our stroller. Matt’s parents graciously gave this to us for a shower gift. Hudson had his first ride in it at about 2 weeks old and at 6 weeks we were consistently hitting the streets for our daily treks. This stroller is a little pricy but it’s the only one we plan on buying. We skipped the car seat click in one, the umbrella one, etc. We just added a car seat adapter to this and away we go! One of my favorite parts is the sun shade, it is amazing and totally covers baby. Matt loves that it folds in one second. Seriously. You could hold the baby and fold this it is so easy and light.

Hootie the Owl: This is Hudson’s favorite toy. We named him Hootie. It has a different sounding rattle in it and he loves it!

Summer Infant Swaddle Me Wrap: Swaddle for life! Seriously, this kid is getting swaddle until he leaves for college. We used the Aden + Anais blankets  and loved them when he was smaller. He can whip his arms out now so we tuck him into these wraps and he is out like a light. We affectionately call it the straight jacket.

Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags: If you plan on pumping. Buy these. NOW. I pump once a day and it is so nice to toss every teeny tiny damn part that comes with the pump in the bag, microwave for 2 minutes and they’re clean. Easy peasy.

Rock and Play: My friend Emily let Hudson use Ellie’s rock and play when we were visiting. He loved it. I bought one the second we got home. It’s nice for us because it’s higher off the ground so you don’t have to strain to put him in there like our swing or bouncer.

Baby Wise: Hudson has been sleeping through the night since about 9 weeks old. I followed the schedule in this book (I took the rest of the “advice” with a grain of salt) and he’s been a happy camper and been sleeping 7:30 pm to 5:00 am consistently. I’m not sure if we just got a great sleeper or if the schedule is what helped get him sleeping sooner but sleeping baby = happy mama.

So that’s what’s been tripping our trigger for the last few months. What got you through the early months? Do you have any suggestions for the upcoming milestones?

Yo- mama wasn’t paid or perked for anything listed above. Nary an affiliate link to be seen. We just love this stuff and want to share!

    Your little one is so cute with his little baby tupee! Love it! Great idea with the ‘momma must have’ series.

    Good luck on your happiness project. It’s fun to come up with the list and even more fun to think about the end result (:

    I wish I would have bought those medela bags when I was breast feeding….so jealous of you and I hate I had to wash all those by hand each day. UGH! ๐Ÿ™‚

    The KNEE ROLLS! They are KILLING me!

    Great tips! We did the babywise (part of it, with a grain of salt, just like you) and have had two great sleepers so far.

    Your little man is TOO cute.

      I thought Baby Wise got a little crazy extreme with some of their techniques but we’re loving the schedule. Glad to hear it worked with your kiddos too.
