FRI-YAY!

Hello Friday! I’ve missed your face. The days (week? too much?) after a holiday always send me into a tailspin. Everyone is finally on the mend but Harper must have some sort of Easter candy horde hidden around the house. Every time I turn around, I see her with a plastic egg, and a fistful of m&ms!

FRI-YAY!
We’ve been waiting for this weekend for awhile as we pick up my mom at the airport this afternoon! Woohoo for Grandmas in the house. She’s taken on the monumental (saintly!) task of watching all three kiddos while we escape to Palm Springs for a few days next week. We’ll try to keep the car wheels from screeching out of the drive way (love you kids but BYE!).

Anyway, I’ve got a few things up my sleeve that I wanted to share/need some suggestions so let’s take it to the crowd.

1//Maternity Swimsuits. Why you so ugly?! I am squeezing (and I mean squeezing) my bod into a suit from Lucy’s pregnancy for this weekend and have been trying to find a good replacement as we have a few trips coming up this summer. I may just throw caution to the wind and just wear the damn bikini because YOU GUYS this belly is huge. I am only 23.5 weeks along right now and measuring like 30, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to find a swath of fabric large enough to cover it all. If you have any recommendations for suits that aren’t some sort of water dress, I’m all ears.

2//This video. I’ve been tagged in it too many times to count. Obviously, I am hoping that’s not the case but am mentally preparing myself for my own personal Kate Gosselin pregnancy belly of horrors.

3//New (to me!) kiddo show. We’re mostly anti(ish) screen time and media for the kiddos but all bets are off when mom is exhausted and can’t fathom another walk to the park. We usually stick to the Netflix shows for the kids, Puffin Rock and Sarah and Duck are favs. My girlfriend alerted me about Tumbleleaf on Amazon Prime. I don’t know why I’ve been holding out on using their app and streaming their shows. So easy! Highly recommend!

4//Face oil. I’ve been using oil as a moisturizer for over a year now and have loved it. Our air is really dry here and I’ve found that it makes a huge difference in my skin but doesn’t leave it oily like I expected. I read Sydney’s blog post about her skincare and bought the $4 samples of squalane oil and I’m a believer. This oil is buttery soft, I think I’m going to splurge on the full size. I may check out The Ordinary for a more wallet friendly option (h/t to Fran for that rec!).

5//Baby names! As in, we are fresh out and need two in about three months. We have a couple of ideas swimming around but nothing feels right yet. We’re trying to avoid ‘H’ names as not to leave poor Lucy out in the cold. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I like a traditional but not super popular names and we’re also trying to avoid the matchy-matchy twin names. Hoping for more of a complementary style. Let those suggestions fly.

Hope your weekend is filled with fun! Off to chug a mug full of cold-brew and tackle that mountain o’laundry that keeps appearing in front of my washer.

I’m so proud of you for not doing screen time…..Paw Patrol or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are on here approximately 18 of the 24 hours in a day, oops!

Mickey Mouse was on the approved list but I cancelled our cable so we only have Netflix and Amazon Prime now. It’s way easier to tell the kids that there isn’t any Mickey!
