Mama Must Haves: Game Day

In honor of our beloved Hawkeyes rolling into Ames to capture the Cy-Hawk trophy this weekend (please, let it be so!) I’ve rounded up some cute mama + mini game day outfits.

 

Matt and I have an embarrassing amount of Hawkeye gear. It makes the perfect Christmas gift for us CA dwellers! Hudson has racked up an impressive closet full of black and gold too. I love finding unusual/unique game day shirts and Raygun has a great selection for you locals. I’ve actually found most of our favorites at Iowa bars that we’ve visited. The Front Row, PB Alehouse, and the Irish Exit.

1//Raygun: The best place to get cheeky Midwestern/Iowa shirts. The one in my closet says “this is my tailgating shirt”.

2//Vintage: I LOVE the old-school Iowa t-shirts. If you’re lucky enough to raid your parents old stash of shirts you’re good to go. There’s Etsy for the rest of us.

3//Simple and to the point! This shirt looks like it is the softest ever.

4//Leggings! I didn’t even know these were a thing until this year. You can bet I’m squeezing my preg self into a pair. You can’t go wrong with stretchy pants on game day. Amiright?!

5//Jersey onesie + baby leggs. Hudson rocked these last year and they were SO cute to pair with all of the Iowa onesies that we have. Baby girl will be sporting these next year for sure.

6//I’m with Herky. Technically an adult shirt but I think it would be adorable in kid sizes!

7//All hail the game day bibs. Practically an institution in Iowa City. Shrunk to mini size? Too adorable. My little sister is sending Hudson a pair for this season.

What’s your favorite game day outfit? I know all you southern belles love to do it up big. I love seeing all of the game day dresses but sheesh, I’m glad all I have to do is throw on a t-shirt!
