I know I’ll get all the eye rolls but I can’t help but think, how did we get here? Five. Five! That is big boy status, no longer able to be lumped in with the toddler/preschooler label that mom has been using in a state of denial for the last two years. I spent the entire weekend simultaneously beaming with pride that we’ve been parenting for five years (and have the best little people to show for it…mom biasing hard here) and wanting to bawl my eyes out because he’s going to turn 18, like tomorrow and leave us forever. Hormones, man! They’re the best. 😉
Donut cake for breakfast!
We had a great little family party celebrating our big boy. As mentioned, he insisted on a Batman party and I think I was able to pull it off! The cake was nothing short of a Pinterest disaster but ate it we did!
At least the birthday boy was impressed with batman cake! Sweetest little batman mask from Etsy.
